An allegation and a finding are different things, and Business Dash keeps them different. A concern gets logged, investigated, and either substantiated or not — with the employee's response attached, a legal hold available when it matters, and an offboarding checklist that closes the loop when someone leaves.
Logging a concern doesn't decide it. An infraction starts as an allegation, moves to a recorded finding once it's been looked into, and carries the employee's own response alongside it. When a matter needs to be preserved, a legal hold locks the record. It's the difference between "someone said" and "we determined" — written down in a way that reads clearly a year from now.
Departures run on a checklist you define per role, so the same steps happen whether it's a friendly resignation or a for-cause exit — access pulled, equipment logged, an exit interview recorded. Nothing important rides on someone remembering it during a stressful week.
