Who can actually get there, not just who is closest

They are reported side by side and never merged into a single score, because one number hides which of them ruled somebody out. The closest person is on their break; the second closest owes you a favour. Dispatchers override these calls constantly and the panel is built to be argued with.

It also tells you how many nearby people were filtered out for being booked. A short list with no explanation reads as "nobody is near" — which is a completely different problem from "four are near and all are busy".

Ranking uses real road time with traffic where the data exists. Where it does not, you get straight-line distance clearly labelled as straight-line — because a distance shown where a duration usually sits gets read as a duration, and in a city those are not close.
